The Season of Goodwill

"People want to be told what to do so badly, they'll listen to anything." Don Draper
It is quite funny watching the adverts they show on television at this time of year, the season of goodwill.

At the moment there are not only adverts to encourage people to shop till they drop, there are the food adverts reminding people that Christmas is the time to stuff yourself silly.

As soon as Christmas is over, next follows adverts for the sales where people are encouraged to spend all the money and gift vouchers they've received for Christmas, or exchange their gifts for something else.

After the holiday season are the adverts to encourage people to lose weight caused by over-indulgence. While you're at it, why not let us help you with your new year's resolution to change careers, give up smoking, join the gym, and look good? Remember, now that you are earning more money you can afford to go on more expensive holidays. And with your slimmer figure, you're bound to look good in your bikini.

And so the cycle of programming continues.

We are so blessed to have people who care so much about our well-being...for a small fee.

"Tis the season to be jolly, fa la la la la la la la la."
